Student Support Worker

Phone: 7808352225

I am the Student Support Worker at EEO. This is my second year here! As a Student Support Worker (SSW), my role is to raise and increase knowledge about mental health, support early intervention, create community collaborations & connections and foster a positive learning environment. I do this by hosting small target groups, providing classroom programming, being available to offer support where needed and sharing health and wellness resources, activities and information with the school. I host many lunch groups that provide a safe and supportive space for students to thrive and be their best selves. Some of these groups are: Mighty Minds - open lunch recess group for grades 3-6, Wellness Team - student led group that promotes health and wellness for the school (grade 5 &6), Diamond Dot Club - providing calm, mindful activities for grade 5&6 students.

March 12 Flag Raising Ceremony: Important Information

On Wednesday, March 12, the Peace River School Division invites the Fairview community to join us at Fairview Jr./Sr. High School and/or E.E. Oliver Elementary School to witness the raising of the Treaty 8 and Métis flags outside of these schools. To learn more about the importance of these Flag Raising Ceremonies, please click the link. Please note, the weather is expected to be a little cooler, and for that reason we have chosen to begin the ceremonies inside the school gymnasiums before moving outside to complete the flag raising portion of these important ceremonies.

The Flag Raising Ceremony at FHS is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. inside the gymnasium. We ask that anyone attending the school to witness this ceremony please park along 103 Avenue, which is on the south side of the school. The ceremony at EEO is anticipated to begin at 1:45 p.m. inside the EEO gymnasium. To prioritize the safety of our students, please utilize street parking only at EEO. Please do not park along 112 Street, or on school grounds. Street parking is available along 102, 103 and 104 Avenue.

We look forward to having you join us in Fairview on March 12 to witness these important Flag Raising Ceremonies.
